In vitro fertilization is commonly known as IVF Failure. Couples facing infertility problems are common these days. The reasons can be various, but the treatment is one and only IVF. Being infertile for life is no longer a question to answer. As science has achieved immense success in terms of medical treatment. Cure for every disease is possible now, whether it’s by birth or by age almost every treatment is curable.
Does every treatment get 100% success? So NO, it’s completely impossible. Doctors give their best for treating the illness, but results are somehow different from expectations. That’s supposed to be the same in IVF treatment, that is the reason some patients have to face the repetitions of IVF cycle to conceive a pregnancy. Female factors:

  • Inadequate quality of eggs: Eggs that are incapable of fertilizing and have lost the capability of transforming into healthy embryos.
  • Fragmentation of eggs: Tiny shaped cells present into the embryo detached from the cells, leads to lower success rates. 
  • Imbalance of hormone and thyroid: It purely affects the cells of hormones, which results in being hard to conceive, and the thyroid gland regulates the metabolism, growth, and development, and can impact infertility.
  • Reserve in ovarian might be low: A low ovarian reserve shows reduced number of eggs, adversely affecting infertility. 
  • Overage of maternal (35+): The Advanced age of a female might be problematic in conceiving a pregnancy. 
  • Endometriosis: A similar lining tissue present around and outside the uterus, causing pain in the pelvic, heavy bleeding can be the reason for infertility.
  • Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS): A hormonal disorder is a sign of irregular periods, cysts in ovaries, and infertility.

Male factors:

  • Poor sperm quality (asthenozoospermia): Poor sperm quality refers to abnormal features in sperm, affecting infertility.
  • No sperm in semen: semen having no sperm can be the reason for blockage or injury and can be a cause of infertility.
  • Reversal of sperm into the bladder: It might happen in the case when semen doesn’t leave the body via erection and it is pushed to the bladder.
  • Age factor (the person contacting the eggs is older than 35): Overage or advanced age for mating can be a certain reason for low pregnancy rates.
  • A person using previously frozen sperm or eggs can lead to failure in pregnancy: Using frozen sperm or embryos in some cases might be a failure in the IVF cycle. 
  • Ejaculatory disorders: It refers to a problem in ejaculation while mating and leads to male infertile outcomes.
  • Hormonal imbalances and genetic disorders: It purely affects the cells of hormones, which results in being hard to conceive, and sometimes it can be a genetic disorder of being infertile.

  • Insufficient ovarian stimulation
  • Inadequate method of embryo transfer 
  • Irreconcilable uterine lining
  • Erroneous progesterone supplementation
